How to Get Rid of Blue Mold on Evergreens
- 1). Mix together water and a few drops of a mild dishwashing liquid. Pour the mixture into a garden sprayer.
- 2). Spray the evergreen with the garden sprayer. This will clean the mold from the evergreen but will not kill it.
- 3). Hose the evergreen down with a garden hose on full pressure. This will rinse away the soap residue.
- 4). Purchase horticultural oil at your local garden center. Some oils are applied during the evergreen's dormant period. Read the instructions for your specific brand of horticultural oil.
- 5). Pour the horticultural oil into a clean garden sprayer.
- 6). Spray the evergreen with the oil. Apply the spray on a sunny day when it is not windy. Spray on a day when the temperature is not above 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
- 7). Apply another treatment of the horticultural oil 10 days after the first treatment.
