How to Get Rid of Blue Mold on Evergreens

    • 1). Mix together water and a few drops of a mild dishwashing liquid. Pour the mixture into a garden sprayer.

    • 2). Spray the evergreen with the garden sprayer. This will clean the mold from the evergreen but will not kill it.

    • 3). Hose the evergreen down with a garden hose on full pressure. This will rinse away the soap residue.

    • 4). Purchase horticultural oil at your local garden center. Some oils are applied during the evergreen's dormant period. Read the instructions for your specific brand of horticultural oil.

    • 5). Pour the horticultural oil into a clean garden sprayer.

    • 6). Spray the evergreen with the oil. Apply the spray on a sunny day when it is not windy. Spray on a day when the temperature is not above 90 degrees Fahrenheit.

    • 7). Apply another treatment of the horticultural oil 10 days after the first treatment.
