How to Remove Candle Wax From Paint

Heat Method

• 1). Turn the hair dryer on, and turn the heat up to "high."
  
  
• 2). Hold the hair dryer about four inches away from the wax. Heat it to the point that the wax is soft but not so hot that it melts.
  
  
• 3). Scrape the wax off with the edge of a credit card. Do not use a razor blade as this could scratch the paint.
  
  

Freeze Method

• 1). Fill a plastic bag with ice. If you do not have a plastic bag, wrap ice in a hand towel.
  
  
• 2). Hold the ice bag against the wax for 10 minutes. This freezes the wax, making it easy to chip off.
  
  
• 3). Chip the wax off the paint with the edge of a credit card.
