- 1). Pour a half cup of vinegar into a microwave-safe bowl. Heat the vinegar in the microwave for 30 seconds on high.
- 2). Stir the heated vinegar. It should be warm and not too hot to touch. If it's too hot, allow it to slightly cool.
- 3). Dip a sponge in the vinegar. Hold the sponge over the applique on the glass for 3 to 5 minutes.
- 4). Scrape the softened applique and adhesive from the glass with a razor blade.
- 5). Clean the glass with glass cleaner or, for glassware, soapy water.
