- 1). Sprinkle table salt over the stain to cover it.
- 2). Cut a lemon in half and squeeze the juice over the salt to dampen it.
- 3). Scrub the salt and lemon into the stain with a clean cloth or scouring pad.
- 4). Scrub the area until the stain comes up. If the stain is stubborn and cannot be scrubbed away, leave the paste that has formed from the lemon and the salt on the stain for three to four hours.
- 5). Dampen the paste with fresh lemon juice and scrub the stain again.
- 6). Rinse away the paste once the stain is gone with clean water and dry the area with a clean dry towel.
