How to Clean 100 Percent Wool Carpet
- 1). Vacuum the entire surface of the area rug at least two to three times per week to remove dirt, dust and excess wool fuzz. Vacuum the entire rug lengthwise, and vacuum it across the width to remove all dirt. The vacuum should move easily over the carpet. If there is significant drag on the carpet, raise the carpet level indicator on the vacuum.
- 2). Spray a foam carpet cleaner over the entire surface of the wool carpet. Scrub the foam in using a cloth or sponge. Do not use a brush as the bristles will cause piling on top of the carpet.
- 3). Remove all traces of the foam from the wool carpet using an absorbent pad or cloth.
- 4). Allow the wool carpet to dry completely before walking on it.
