- 1). Plug in the 4 pin (small) end of the i.LINK cable into the correct port on you Handycam.
- 2). Plug in the 6 pin (large) end of the cable into the firewire port on your computer. If you have a laptop, you may need a 4 pin to 4 pin i.LINK cable instead of the 4 pin to 6 pin.
- 3). Turn on your computer.
- 4). Turn on your camera. You may also need to put the camera in playback mode for the computer to recognize it.
