- 1). Download the Microsoft Zune software to your computer. Zune 4.0 is the latest version and you can get it at the Zune website (see "Resources"). Use the Zune software to access the Zune Marketplace.
- 2). Rent or buy an HD movie from the Zune Marketplace.
- 3). Sync the Zune with the computer. Just plug the Zune in and the device will sync.
- 4). Connect the Zune HD AV Dock to a high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) input jack on your home theatre system. It will be marked HDMI on both the home theater box and also on the Zune HD AV Dock.
- 5). Turn on the Home Theatre and select the HDMI jack as the output to the television. The button will be marked HDMI 1 or HDMI 2 or something similar. It will correlate with the labeling of the jack you hooked the HD AV Dock to.
- 6). Turn the television on.
- 7). Place the Zune into the dock and play the movie from the Zune's controls in the same way you'd ordinarily watch a movie. The Zune will output the movie to the home theatre box via the dock, which will in turn output the video signal to the television and the audio signal to the amplifier and on to the speakers---in full HD.
