How to Properly Store Photo Slides
- 1). Organize numbered slides that are part of a slideshow presentation together in a stacked group. Stack these slides in sequential order with the first slide in the slideshow at the top of a stack and the last slide in the slideshow at the bottom of the stack.
- 2). Place the slides into plastic slide boxes with the first slide at the left end of the box and the last slide at the right end of the box.
- 3). Label the slide box with the slide content and the dates of the slides in the box.
- 4). Store the slide boxes in a low-humidity environment with temperatures of approximately 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Keep the slides out of direct light.
- 1). Organize the slides by placing together slides of similar content and time periods.
- 2). Insert each slide into the pockets of the storage pages. Fill each pocket with a slide.
- 3). Place the plastic pages into a three-ring binder or a hanging file box.
- 4). Label the outside of the binder or box with the general content of the slides ("vacation," for example) and with the date.
- 5). Store the binder or the file box in a low-humidity environment with temperatures of approximately 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Keep the slides out of direct light.
