    • 1). Place the cable converter box into an open slot in your entertainment center or near your home theater receiver. The converter box needs to be close enough to an electrical outlet and within the range of your HDMI cable to your stereo receiver.

    • 2). Screw the coaxial cable from your cable source (usually from an outlet in the wall) into the input on your cable converter box labeled 'cable/sat in.'

    • 3). Plug the HDMI cable into the HMDI output labeled "out." Your cable converter box may have multiple HDMI inputs; choose any outgoing port.

    • 4). Plug the HDMI cable into one of the inputs on the back or side of your television.

    • 5). Plug the RCA cables into the corresponding outlets on the back of the cable converter box labeled 'audio out.' Route the cables to the home theater receiver. Plug the RCA cable leads into the appropriate inputs on the back of the receiver. The connectors will match the color (red and white) of the inputs on the back of the receiver.
