How to Use DS Games From SD Card & No Mod on a DSi GBA

    • 1). Slide the Micro SD card into its slot on the MicroSD reader.

    • 2). Insert the MicroSD reader into the USB slot on your computer. Click the "Windows" button on the bottom left corner of your computer. Click "Computers" and open the MicroSD card file window. Minimize this window to use later.

    • 3). Download the firmware for your R4i card. The manufacturer for the R4i card will provide you with directions on how to download your firmware online. Select the English version for the firmware to download and add to your SD card. Wait for firmware to download as an .rar file.

    • 4). Extract the content in the .rar file. Reopen the window for the MicroSD card that you minimized. Click the folder twice to open the .rar file contents. Highlight the contents to copy and paste them onto the MicroSD window.

    • 5). Paste DS games to the MicroSD window. If the game files are in .rar format, open the Rar folder to extract the game file that ends in ".nds." Copy and paste that file onto your MicroSD card window.

    • 6). Remove the MicroSD reader from the USB slot. Slide out the MicroSD card. Insert the MicroSD card into its slot on the back of the R4i card.

    • 7). Insert the R4i card into its slot on the Nintendo DSi. Turn on the DSi console. An R4i icon will appear with the words "R4i-SDHC" above the icon. Click on the icon.

    • 8). Choose the DS game of your choice and start playing.
