Robert Carl Suggs [b. 1932]
American anthropologist Robert Suggs is best known for his ethnography-backed archaeological investigations in the Marquesas Islands. Associated with the American Museum of Natural History in the 1950s and educated at Columbia University, Suggs has worked throughout Polynesia and is currently conducting research and teaching at the Windward College Institute for Hawaiian and Polynesian Studies.
