- 1). Clean the surface of your screen with an LCD screen cleanser and microfiber cloth. Wash your hands as well.
- 2). Sit down and place the laptop in front of you with the screen open. Place the laptop so the screen is flush with the surface it is resting on, as if the screen were the keyboard portion of the laptop.
- 3). Place the film over your screen as a test alignment. This will ensure you have purchased film with the same dimensions as your screen.
- 4). Peel the protective backing off of the film and line the film up with the screen.
- 5). Apply the screen by placing one side of the film over the side of the screen and slowly and carefully apply the film to the rest of the screen. Lift the film up as you go if you notice air pockets or creases and smooth them out.
- 6). Continue until the film is applied.
