How to Make Aroma Oil
- 1). Pour 2 oz. of a floral essential oil into a bowl. You can select richly-scented floral oils, such as rose or geranium, or you can use lighter floral aromas, such as lilac or lavender.
- 2). Pour 2 oz. of a fruity essential oil into the bowl. Select a fruity oil that compliments the floral oil. For example, richer floral oils combine well with lighter fruity oils, such as orange or grapefruit. Lighter floral oils combine well with richer fruity oils, such as mango or strawberry. Mix the two oils well with a spoon.
- 3). Pour in 1 oz. of a light musky oil, such as neroli or ylang ylang. A small amount of musky essential oils will make the floral and fruity oils stand out and smell deeper and more sultry. Mix the oils well with a spoon.
- 4). Take the top off of a glass bottle and place a funnel into the bottle opening.
- 5). Pour the mixed aroma oils into the bottle through the funnel. Remove the funnel and push the top back onto the bottle. You can use the aroma oil as an incense oil, to use in a candle-making or soap-making project or to combine with jojoba oil to use as a massage oil.
