How to Properly Break-In a Panasonic Plasma TV

104 1
  • 1). Set the television to the "Just" mode. The aspect ratio settings are located in the television's main menu. All new Panasonic televisions are shipped in this aspect ratio mode.

  • 2). Turn the picture setting to "+0" in the picture setting menu. This setting is located under the "Picture menu" sub menu.

  • 3). Set the sidebars for standard 4:3 resolution to "Mid" or "Bright." This requires a brief change in the aspect ratio to confirm. The aspect ratio should be adjusted back to "Just" after this setting is calibrated.

  • 4). Set the television to an aspect ratio that fills the entire screen. This is especially important for DVD playback because black bars appear on DVD movies that are not set in the natural aspect ratio of the television.

  • 5). Avoid unchanging backgrounds such as screen savers, if connected to a PC, or DVD menus. These static images will lead to burn in if left on for an extended period.
