Different Kinds of Check Valves

104 33

    Butterfly Check Valve

    • Butterfly check valves regulate the flow of gas or liquid using a disk. They are commonly used in ventilation systems.

    Swing Check Valve

    • Swing check valves are the most common in the market. They have a straight-body design or a Y-pattern.

    Tilting Disk Check Valve

    • Tilting disk check valves have a design like that of swing check valves, but are different in that they use a disk without a hinge.

    Stop Check Valve

    • Stop check valves have an external mechanism that stops the flow of liquid or gas, irrespective of the direction or pressure of the liquid or gas.

    Piston Check Valves

    • Piston check valves, which are also referred to as lift check valves, operate under a mechanism in which pressure or an upward stream of fluid causes the disc to be lifted off its seat. This enables the liquid to flow to the outlet.
