- 1). Open iTunes.
- 2). Click the "iTunes" (Mac) or "Edit" category (PC). Choose "Preferences." A window appears.
- 3). Click "General" at the top of the window.
- 4). Click "Import Settings" inside the center of the window. The "Import Settings" window appears.
- 5). Click the "Import Using" option. Select "MP3 Encoder." Close the two windows by clicking "OK" in each.
- 6). Click "Music" in the left iTunes source pane to bring up the songs saved in iTunes.
- 7). Click the iTunes song you're converting. To convert multiple songs, hold "Ctrl" (PC) or "Command" (Mac) and then click each song you're converting.
- 8). Click the "Advanced" category at the top of the program.
- 9). Choose "Create MP3 Version" to convert the iTunes files.
