Yamaha neoHD YMC-700 Media Controller/Receiver - Rear Panel Left Connect
On the bottom is the AC receptacle where the provided detachable AC power cord is plugged.
On the top are output connections labeled 1,2, and 3 is where IR flasher cables are plugged in that enable control of additional components (such as Blu-ray/DVD players, CD players, Cable/Satellite box, etc...) using the remote control system of the YMC-700.
A total of six additional components can be controlled by the YMC-700 using dual-ended IR flasher cables.
After connecting the end of the cable that plugs into these inputs, the user places the other end (the end with the actual flasher) in front of the remote control IR sensor of desired component to be controlled. Further setup is done using the YMC-700's menu system.
In addition, the non-numbered input connection on the top left of this photo is where the user can connect an additional single-ended IR flasher cable that enables the YMC-700 to be controlled by the provided wireless remote control if the user needs to place the unit in a location where the wireless remote control is not in direct line of site, such as hidden in a cabinet.
