T-Shirt Screen Printing Instructions
- 1). Staple the fine mesh fabric to the wooden frame so that it covers one side of it. Hammer down the staples to pull the fine mesh fabric tight on the wooden frame. Cut the excess mesh fabric off the sides of the wooden frame.
- 2). Lay a T-shirt flat on a table. Lay the wooden frame over the area of the T-shirt where you'd like the design. The mesh fabric side should be directly on the T-shirt. Place the stencil inside the wooden frame over the desired transfer area. Tape the stencil into the frame all the way around to prevent the ink from bleeding.
- 3). Run the screen-printing ink across the top of the stencil and use the squeegee to pull the ink over the top of the stencil, mesh fabric and the T-shirt to transfer the ink onto the shirt. Make sure the ink is even throughout.
- 4). Repeat Steps 1-3 as many times as desired with different stencils or different colored inks. You may have to change mesh screens because of color bleeding.
