- 1). Connect the V3 to your PC using a mini USB cable.
- 2). Download the Motorola phone update located on Motorola's website. Run the phone updater. This may take up to 20 minutes.
- 3). Download the phone editing software and load the file "seem editor." Enter the following values within the program: type "2742" in the "seem" box, type "0" in the "Bytes (h)" box and type "1" in the "record" box.
- 4). Click "load from phone" to load the phone's settings into the program. Back up the phone using the "save to file" option.
- 5). Load the crack settings by using the "load from file" option and selecting the settings included in the V3 cracking kit. They are in the file entitled "Unlocked Settings."
- 6). Click "save to phone" and "restart phone."
