Choose an image that conveys your message. Check to make sure your image is high resolution by stretching the image in Microsoft word to check the image for blurriness. Use low-resolution images only if the stickers are small. Right click on the image file and look at the details tab. Check the horizontal and vertical resolution, and if the DPI is higher than 72 your image will stretch to an extent without distortion. DPI represents dots per inch which is the number of pixels in each inch of the image. - 2). Use a graphics program to place the image. Access Microsoft Word if there is no graphics program available. Check the sticker paper packaging for a website that has access to free sticker templates.
- 3). Add embellishments to the graphic. Use the font tool or add a border to enhance the sticker graphic.
- 4). Decide how many stickers to print. Measure the graphic with rulers available on the graphics program. Copy and paste the image until you fill the quota or an 8.5 x 11 inch document.
- 5). Practice printing the sticker on regular paper before using the sticker paper. Print the sticker on a plain piece of paper to insure that the sticker looks appropriate and make changes if necessary.
- 6). Set the printer settings to the appropriate guidelines for the sticker paper. Choose glossy paper or the setting that the sticker paper suggests on the package. Make sure the printer is set on high quality.
- 7). Allow the ink to dry on the sticker sheets before cutting the stickers. Make sure to use sharp scissors or the stickers may appear to have jagged edges.
- 8). Save leftover sticker paper for future sticker projects. Use half sheets of sticker paper for smaller projects.
