How to Troubleshoot a Stereo SAP on a Magnavox DVD Player

104 37
    • 1). Check the cable connection running from the Magnavox DVD player to the television. If the audio cables are not inserted completely into either connection port the SAP audio may not reach the television.

    • 2). Check the DVD packaging to make sure a SAP track is included on the disc. Located on the back side of the DVD case, near the bottom, a list of the different languages and audio tracks appears. If no additional audio options are listed, no stereo SAP will be on the DVD.

    • 3). Insert the stereo SAP DVD into the DVD player, then wait for the disc's contents to load. Select the "Options," then "Audio." When the audio display appears choose the SAP you want to listen to. If you don't activate it on the DVD menu it does not play.

    • 4). Press the "SAP" button on the Magnavox remote control if the SAP signal stops (and it returns back to the standard English). The button may have been bumped during playback, causing the SAP to stop. Press the SAP button to scroll through the different secondary audio listings until you find the channel you want. Once the audio track begins, press "OK" to confirm the selection.
