- 1). Lay a full length of drip edge metal over the lower edge of the roof.
- 2). Position the drip edge piece flush with the end or corner of the roof edge, or lapped a minimum of 4 inches over the previous length of drip edge metal.
- 3). Secure the drip edge metal to the roof with roofing nails spaced approximately 12 inches apart and 4 inches from the end. Place one roofing nail through the midpoint of the lap between adjacent pieces.
- 4). Repeat Steps 1 through 3 for each subsequent piece of drip edge metal being installed. Use tin snips to trim the length of the drip edge metal, as needed.
