    • 1). Apply construction adhesive to the cinder-blocks or joists on the unfinished basement.

    • 2). Press wood paneling into the adhesive. Hold it in place for a few minutes so the adhesive can grab the wood panels. Continue this process until the basement walls are finished, butting the panels tightly up against each other. Cut the wood panels to fit with a band saw.

    • 3). Glue vinyl baseboard to the bottom and top of the panels to give the wall a finished look.

    • 4). Divide a large space into areas with temporary wall dividers. Stand tall bookshelves in the center of the room, facing back to back. Using bookshelves for walls divides the space while allowing air flow for temperature control. Facing them back to back gives them stability while adding storage to both basement rooms.
