- 1). Measure the closet opening's width. Subtract 1/4 inch from the measurement. Divide this number by two to determine the length of each upper track. If you are only installing one bifold door, do not divide the measurement in half.
- 2). Transfer the measurement from Step 1 to each upper track. Use the hacksaw to cut the track to this length.
- 3). Measure the width of the closet header -- the top of the closet opening. Mark the center of the header with a pencil. Connect the two tracks using the supplied connecting plate.
- 4). Center the upper track on the closet header. Secure it in place with the provided screws with a drill and phillips driving bit.
- 5). Insert the top pivot pin into the top holes on the outer edge of each of the bifold doors. Insert the guide pivot into the top holes on the inner edge of each door. Insert the bottom pivot pin into the bottom hole in each door. Use a hammer to tap each pin into the bifold doors as far as they will go.
- 6). Hang a plumb bob from the pivot bracket in the upper track. Center a jamb bracket underneath the plumb bob on the floor, and press it against the closet opening's side jamb. Drill a 1/8-inch pilot hole through the jamb bracket's screw hole and into the floor. Secure the bracket to the floor with a provided screw. Repeat this step on the opposite side of the opening.
- 7). Lift a bifold door into the opening. Insert the top pivot pin into the pivot bracket in the upper track. Lift the door so the bottom pivot pin clears the jamb bracket and rests in the bracket's groove. Press down the guiding pin and center it under the upper track, then release it. Repeat this step with the second bifold door.
- 8). Press the snugger guide into the upper track, and center it over where the two tracks meet. Close one of the bifold doors. Check the gap running alongside the door and above the door. If it seems a little off, use a tape measure to check the gap's width. If the gap measures the same the entire distance around the bifold door, skip the next two steps.
- 9). Turn the bottom pivot pin to either raise or lower the bifold door. Move the bottom pivot pin left or right in the jamb bracket's groove to adjust the gap alongside the door.

Loosen the pivot bracket's screw with a phillips screwdriver. Move the bracket either right or left along the track to even the gap alongside the bifold door. Tighten the screw. Repeat Steps 8, 9 and 10 with the second bifold door. - 11
Go in the closet and close both bifold doors. Measure 12 inches up from the floor along the seam where the doors meet. Place a level at this height and draw a line across both doors. Place a supplied aligner's bottom edge along the line, with one side touching the inner edge of the door. Secure it in place with the supplied screws. Repeat with the second aligner. - 12
Go out of the closet and close the bifold doors. Measure 36 inches up from the floor and place a mark on each bifold doors' leading door panel. Drill a pilot hole at this point. The size of the hole will depend on the model. Insert a door pull pin through one of the pilot hole from the back of the door and tighten the pull on it. Repeat on the second door.
