- 1). Slip the pry bar underneath the row of shingles that needs to be replaced and slowly pry out the three roofing nails that are securing the row.
- 2). Slip the pry bar underneath the row of shingles just above the row you just worked on and remove the roofing nails in a similar fashion.
- 3). Pull out the now loose row of shingles that needs to be replaced and properly dispose of it.
- 4). Place a new row of replacement shingles into the vacant spot.
- 5). Hammer down three roofing nails into the replacement row to secure it to the roof, then hammer down the roofing nails on the row of shingles above to complete the repair.
