How to Figure out the Square Footage of a Circular Driveway

104 13
    • 1). Measure the diameter of your circular driveway with a measuring tape marked in feet. Since your driveway is a circle, any measurement taken from one side to the other, through the center, will be equal.

    • 2). Divide the diameter of your circular driveway by two to find the radius. For example, if your circular driveway has a diameter of 16 feet, divide 16 by 2 to get an 8-foot radius.

    • 3). Multiply the radius by itself. In this example, multiply 8 feet by 8 feet to get 64 square feet.

    • 4). Multiply the result in Step 3 by pi -- 3.14 -- to find the square footage of your circular driveway. In this example, multiply 64 by 3.14 to find the square footage of your driveway that equals 200.94 square feet.
