- 1). Unroll the wire from its spool and straighten it out. Do not cut it at this point. You must first shape it into your name. You do not need to unroll the entire spool. Begin with two feet of wire. Depending on the length of the name you are shaping, you can always unroll and straighten more.
- 2). Bend the wire your pliers and create your name. Start with the first letter of your name and transition into the next. Cursive script works best, because the wire must flow from one letter to the next.
- 3). String decorative craft beads onto the wire wherever you wish to add a personal touch.
- 4). Cut the wire from the spool once you have formed the final letter of your name and are finished adding beads.
- 5). Curl both ends of the wire with your pliers to prevent sharp edges that could be dangerous.
- 6). Hang your wire name on a wall if you chose. Hammer nail into the wall, leaving enough nail sticking out of the wall to hang your wire name on it from any letter in your name that allows it to hang straight. If you cannot find a letter on your wire name that provides a good place to hang it, tie a piece of string or ribbon onto the middle letter of the wire name and loop that onto the nail. You can also use the wire name as a bookmark instead.
