    • 1). Pour liquid leveler over any gaps, holes or low spots in the cement floor, getting the surface completely even. Let it set for 24 hours.

    • 2). Use your snapline to divide the floor into four quadrants, with two intersecting lines. Use a square to ensure the lines are perpendicular to each other.

    • 3). Apply tile adhesive with a notched trowel to the floor, covering a few square feet within one of the four corners created by the intersected lines at the center of the floor.

    • 4). Press a vinyl tile to the floor at the corner. Set a second one next to it, butting them tightly together and lining up the edges.

    • 5). Spread more adhesive and continue laying tiles, building out from the center toward the edges of the room. Install all the full tiles that will fit, leaving space for partial tiles at the walls.

    • 6). Let the adhesive set for 24 hours. Cut tiles to fit along the perimeter, installing them with the cut sides facing the walls. Let them set for 24 hours.
