- 1). Moisten the soft cloth or paper towel with white vinegar, wiping over the surface of the wine glass. This will prepare the glass to receive the paint, and cut through any grease, finger or sticker marks.
- 2). Draw your design on paper with pen, then slide the design inside the wine glass, so that you can see it from the outside of the glass. If you are just using colors, without a detailed design, then you don't need to draw a design on paper, you can just start painting.
- 3). Dip the paintbrush into the desired color of glass paint, and paint on your design, or your block of color. Wash the brush with warm water or vinegar/water solution in between colors.
- 4). Wipe away any mistakes using a clean brush and warm water, letting dry before redoing the area.
- 5). Let the paint dry on the glass for at least 24 hours.
- 6). Place the glass on the oven tray and into a cold oven. It is important that the glass heats up with the oven, as placing a glass in a hot oven will likely crack it.
- 7). Turn the oven on, and let bake for the duration and at the temperature specified by the paint manufacturer. As each glass paint product is made up of different ingredients, it is important to follow the manufacturer's instructions carefully.
- 8). Turn the oven off after the appropriate time, and leave the glass in the oven, so both cool down at the same time.
