How to Remove the Hazy Film From Ceramic Tiles
- 1). Mix 1 gallon of warm water with 1/2 cup of ammonia in a bucket.
- 2). Do a small spot test or check with the manufacturer to make sure that ammonia is safe to use on your floor.
- 3). Apply the solution to the entire floor with a mop and let it stand for five minutes.
- 4). Use old towels or rags to wipe up the solution. If there is a lot of build up, this may not be sufficient and you will need to be a bit more vigorous. Use a scrub brush in a circular motion before wiping up the solution.
- 5). Repeat the process as many times as necessary until the white build-up of film is gone.
