- 1). Download the GTK+ for Windows Runtime Environment from its Sourceforge download page. Open Windows Explorer, navigate to your browser's download directory and double-click the installer file to run it. Follow the prompts to install the GTK+ package, accepting the installer's default options.
- 2). Download the Refocus for Windows plugin from its deviantART download page. Open Windows Explorer again, navigate to your browser's download directory and double-click the Refocus zip file to open it. The ZIP archive contains one file: "Refocus_plugin.exe."
- 3). Click "Extract All." Type "c:\Users\[Your Username]\.gimp-2.6\plug-ins" into the text field, then click "Extract." Windows extracts the Refocus plug-in to the GIMP plug-ins directory.
