Players and False Advertising

Most situations of abuse are also situations of false advertising.
The woman, for the most part, won't go into a relationship knowing that she is going to get beaten, or to have her partner running down her character and make her feel like the lowest thing on earth.
In most of these situations, the man is on his best behavior while wooing, then shows his true colors when he believes that the woman is his.
What takes place in these situations is this: False advertising.
And my solution to this is to make false advertising as criminal in relationships as it is in business, so that men cannot misrepresent themselves.
I've known any number of people who tried to encourage me to be a player.
I ignored them out of the consideration that a relationship based on deception can only be a phoney relationship.
Worse, the deception being the basis of the relationship, it cannot allow for anything true or genuine to appear.
Protecting the lie requires spinning an ever-greater, ever-more-oppressive, and ultimately ever-more-ridiculous, web of deception.
And that results in a culture of insincerity, in which anything truthful gets attacked and only the lie is tolerated.
People who become players have lots of sexual trysts, but this approach is disastrous for serious relationships.
The lie is the basis of the relationship, so the lie becomes the substance of one's life.
Ultimately many of these people end up complaining about their relationships or about women as a whole, when they should be complaining about how they have approached the woman and what they have made the basis of their - and the woman's - lives.
The worst behavior I've seen on the part of the people who've taken the player route has been that of misogyny.
They con the woman; but they can never have the woman's true loyalty because the truth is absent from the relationship - necessarily absent, as the relationship is based on a lie.
The same people who con and deceive themselves become persecutors and claim moral authority when their own action is that of false advertising and playing.
This con needs to be exposed, so that more people are aware of it and avoid these situations.
And ultimately, false advertising in relationships should be made as illegal as it is in business.
Going into relationships through conmanship results in ruined lives and horrible social arrangements.
The more women avoid this trap, the better will be the society and the better will be their lives.
