- 1). Paint the basket using non-toxic paint for a bold-colored basket. Leave the basket unfinished for a natural-looking basket.
- 2). Wrap chiffon or satin ribbon around the handle for a frilly look. Wrap it in yarn or felt for a hand-crafted look.
- 3). Cut a long piece of chiffon, satin or gift wrap ribbon. Tie it into a large bow, and fluff it out. Slide a twist-tie through the back of the bow, and attach it to the side of the basket handle. Adjust the bow to keep it straight.
