    • Even a 30th birthday party should have favors.birthday party image by Liz Van Steenburgh from Fotolia.com

A 30th birthday is a milestone event in a person's life. To some people, the age is frowned upon, as the inevitability of growing older has finally hit them. To others, this age is looked at as an age of achievement and they are proud of all the things they have accomplished and that have brought them to this point in life. Either way you look at it, celebrate your 30th birthday with a bash. Of course, don't forget to include party favors for all of those who attend.

    Personalized Candy

    • Thank guests for attending your soiree with a personalized sweet treat. Candy wrappers and candies themselves can be printed with an expression that you've selected. For example, M&M's offers the option of choosing what colored candy you would like and having your own sayings printed on them. You can also do this with candy bar wrappers. A photo can even be added. Consider having something clever, such as, "still sweet at 30" printed.

    Wine Bottle Stoppers

    • If you and your guests enjoy wine, thank them for celebrating your birthday with you by giving them wine bottle stoppers. Wine bottle stoppers can be topped with virtually any element--from a heart to a seashell and even a bushel of grapes. Attach a tag to these favors that says, "age is like a fine bottle of wine--it gets better as it gets older".

    A Retro Favor

    • Now-a-day's, if you are turning 30 you were born in the 1980's. Bring back your childhood by giving retro, 80's themed toys as party favors. Rubix Cubes were all the rage in the 1980s that party goers will surely have fun trying to solve today. Troll dolls were also a popular commodity among the toy market in the 1980's. Other well-liked toys by children of the 1980s are Simon Says and Etch-A-Sketch--toys that can keep even 30-year-old adults entertained.

    1980s Candy

    • Keep the 1980s theme going by giving guests candy that was popular during that time. Chinese food take-out boxes filled with candies like Hubba Bubba bubble gum, Pop Rocks, Big League Chew, Nerd and Ring Pops will tickle guests sweet tooth and have them reliving the days when they'd give anything to have this candy.

    Personalized CD

    • Guests will enjoy celebrating your birthday party long after the event is over, thanks to this party favor. Create a personalized CD with some of your and your friends favorite songs. Pick songs that remind you of fun events in your life--for example, if you had a blast at a specific concert, include a song from the band. Play the CD at your rendez-vous and each time your guests play the CD afterward, they will be reminded of your birthday celebration.
