In order to make gold from farming, you need to go after crafting resources.
That's the most safe way for you to make gold.
People will always craft so they will always need ingredients.
As long as there are loads of them on the market, they will buy them instead of farming them.
So you need a good spot to farm such resources.
I tried farming cloth at first, thinking that it will sell well.
I did find a good spot where I would get a lot of Frostweave cloth, but the prices on the AH weren't that good.
They sold and I did make money.
But not as much as I would want to.
I kept looking for a better spot in which to farm something else, until some day.
I asked a person what does he do when he wants to do some gold farming in WOTLK, and he said Wailing Winds.
At first I didn't get it.
What he was saying, as a joke of course, was that he was doing Wailing Winds.
I looked up that name on the Internet and I found that he was talking about fire mobs in a cave.
So I got the location of it and tried out the spot.
The cave is in Storm Peaks, North of Camp Tunka'lo.
The Frostfloe Deep is home to a lot of these mobs.
Their main loot is Eternal Fire.
These can be turned into 10 crystallized fire.
So they were really good.
The mobs also dropped green items and also trash loot.
It wasn't very hard to kill them and the respawn rate was really good.
The only thing about them is that they Charge.
So for a caster, or ranged toon, it can be pretty tricky to kill.
That's why it is best to use a melee class.
Just pull as many as you can kill and you will be fine.
I managed to make enough gold there in a few days to stay relaxed for a month.
It was really good to know that I had a spot where I could go anytime I wanted and replenish my wealth.
I even kept some Eternal Fire in my vault for when there weren't many on the Auction House.
That way I could put them for sale for a much higher price.
I reached the conclusion that it was a very good spot for gold farming in WOTLK.
