Lord of The Rings, War of The Ring - Building a Good Army

The final missions of WOTR are very challenging and provide a good, long, and entertaining series of battles to enjoy.
But if you're having trouble overcoming those enemy armies, then you need these tips to build up your army to an overpowering force.
The biggest way for budding generals to render themselves weaker in battle is to try to build every unit and every building, and buy every upgrade, in every mission.
This practice will generally put you in the position of having everything, but not having enough of anything.
Try to decide early on which "expensive" units you'll need, and avoid redundancy (e.
g.
, on the Good side, don't develop both Dwarven Axethrowers and Elven Archers).
Choose a high- or low-end focus asap! A high-end focus means you're going to develop your tech tree with the goal of eventually pumping out some of the most advanced and expensive units, such as the Evil Bonecleaver and Stonehurler, or the Good Beorning and Huorn.
You'll skip over the low-end and try to win the technological arms race.
Conversely, a low-end focus means your goal is to pump out as many cheap units as quickly as you can to overwhelm the enemy fast.
If you choose the high-end route, make sure you establish a tight base with a strong defensive perimeter consisting of a few towers and one or two groups of defensive troops to fend off enemy attacks.
Don't construct the low-end unit buildings such as the Barracks, Dwarf Hall, or Forge.
However, do construct a Ranger post or Shadow Lair (you never want to be caught without detector units!).
Upgrade your Stronghold to level 3 asap and build a Nature's Haven, Elven Sanctuary, Wilderness Outpost, and House of Lore.
Build Beorning/Huorns and the Elf Units, and focus on a few select upgrades.
Follow the same principles for the Evil side.
If you go low-end, don't waste any resources on upgrading past level 2, aside from the initial basic upgrades offered by the Forge or Dark Arena.
Your goal is to overwhelm the enemy with lots of basic units before it can grow its forces And there you have a very successful strategy to building a powerful army and emerge victorious in Lord of The Rings, War of The Ring.
