How to Adjust a Watch Strap
- 1). Look at the inside edge of the watch. There should be arrows to identify which of the links are removable. Place the watch on the cork board.
- 2). Each of the links is connected by two pins. To remove one link, place the pushpin on top of the appropriate pin. Use the hammer to push the pin out.
- 3). The pin may not come out completely from the hammering. If this is the case, use the pliers to pull the rest of the pin out.
- 4). Repeat Steps 2 and 3 to remove as many pins and links as necessary.
- 5). Set aside the extra links. Then set up your new, smaller watchband so that the pinholes in the adjacent links are aligned. Use the hammer to push in the pins.
