How to Mount Blue Bird Houses

    • 1). Position the conduit in the location you wish to place your bird house. Use your rubber mallet to hit the top of the conduit pipe, driving it into the ground. Continue hitting the pipe until the bottom 2 to 2 1/2 feet of the pipe is buried.

    • 2). Position the nesting box on the pole, where the nesting hole will be about 5 feet off the ground.

    • 3). Attach the box to the pole using the conduit straps. Position one strap near the top of the nesting box, fitting it around the pipe then securing it by placing one nail in each side. Drive the nail into the nesting box with your hammer. Position the second strap near the bottom of the box; then nail the strap in place. Take care that your nails are not longer than the width of the back board of your nesting box, otherwise they will protrude into the bluebird nesting area.
