Why spend hours slaving away in the kitchen? The Washington DC area has several restaurants and gourmet food shops that offer a complete Thanksgiving turkey dinner to go. You can pick up delicious dishes professionally prepared and spend the day with your guests, not stuck in the kitchen. Most locations require you to reserve your meal in advance.

Georgia Browns
950 15th Street, NW Washington, DC (202) 393-4499. Pre-order turkey and all the trimmings from the popular restaurant specializing in Southern hospitality.

BlackSalt Fish Market & Restaurant
4883 MacArthur Boulevard, NW Washington DC. (202) 342-9104. Order a full Thanksgiving feast to go. A variety of gourmet dishes are available. Orders must be placed to BlackSalt by Sunday, November 23rd, and all pickups are scheduled for Wednesday, November 26th.

Acadiana Restaurant
901 New York Ave NW, Washington, DC (202) 408-8804. Thanksgiving Dinner for Eight includes a 16- to 18-pound roasted or fried Cajun-style Turkey, choice of Giblet or Eggplant Gravy, any four sides, a Pumpkin or Pecan Pie, and Acadiana’s famous Biscuits with House-made Pepper Jelly. Full dinner $175, or simply the bird for $105. All items are also available à la carte starting at $12.

Blue Duck Tavern

Three-star feast to-go (feeds 6-8 people) includes a 10 to12 pound free-range roasted turkey, two freshly baked breads, four traditional sides from the award-winning restaurant’s menu and a pumpkin or apple pie.  Priced at $350 (excluding tax and gratuity). Orders must be placed by November 21.

Café Dupont and Bar Dupont
Dupont Circle Hotel,  1500 New Hampshire Avenue, NW Washington DC. (202) 797-0169. New this year, pre-order Turkey-to-Go, a prix-fixe menu for $55 per person. Pumpkin and pecan pies are also on sale separately for $25 each. All orders must be made 72 hours in advance of pick-up.

Carmines
425 7th Street NW Washington, DC (202) 737-7770. The legendary New York City family-style Italian restaurant offers a hearty feast with all the trimmings for $239.50 (serves 8-10). Eat in the restaurant or have it delivered.

Hill Country Barbecue Market
410 7th St. NW Washington DC. (202) 556-2044 or email events@hillcountrywdc.com. Thanksgiving Pick-Up Service. The menu features turkeys brined, rubbed with Hill Country’s signature spice blend, and smoked low and slow for that classic holiday flavor with a Texan twist. A Thanksgiving feast for 9-12 people includes a whole Pit-Smoked Turkey (14-16lbs), Cornbread with Ancho-Honey Butter, four sides (64oz. each), and two pies for $300, with a similar offering for 5-8 people for $210. Meats, sides, and desserts can be purchased separately for carryout. Orders must be placed by Friday, November 21.

Balduccis

La Madeleine Country French Café 
Locations in DC, Maryland and Virginia. (800) 96-LAMAD. Thanksgiving meals catered for families can serve up to eight people and include turkey, stuffing, side dishes,  plus your choice of two desserts.

HoneyBaked Ham
Many locations in Maryland and Virginia. Known for their cooked hams, during the holiday season, you can also order a fully-cooked whole turkey, oven-roasted or smoked. Side dishes and desserts are also available.

Wegmans
The popular grocery store offers a wide range of holiday fixings for small and large parties.  Local locations include Germantown, Columbia, Frederick, Crofton, Fairfax, Sterling, Woodbridge, and Leesburg.

Safeway
Many locations throughout the Washington DC Area. Safeway offers several different heat and serve turkey dinners with side dishes and desserts.

Whole Foods Market
Many locations throughout the Washington DC Area. The organic food store offers complete Thanksgiving dinners with an organic turkey with the traditional trimmings stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, and cranberry sauce. Orders can be placed in person at each store, over the phone, or online.

Ritz Carlton Tysons
1700 Tysons Boulevard, McLean, Virginia. (703) 506-4300. Thanksgiving Turkey To-Go, $295-325 plus tax, serves 6 guests, pick up on Thanksgiving between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Willard Hotel
Willard on Wings Thanksgiving Takeaway, Willard Hotel, 1401 Pennsylvania Ave., NW Washington, DC. This carry-out holiday feast includes a 10- to 12-pound or 18- to 20-pound turkey (serving four to six people for $320, or eight to ten for $425) with cranberry sauce and gravy, four side dishes, freshly baked rolls and pies. Fairmont Washington, DC, Georgetown
The Fairmont is offering Turkeys To-Go. Thanksgiving dinners are $75 for two, $140 for four and $195 for six people.  Dinner for 10 is $325. Orders must be placed by 12:00 Noon on Monday, November 24, 2014.  Call (202) 457-5020 to place orders.

Maggie’s Downtown Bakery & BBQ
Complete Thanksgiving dinner for pick up includes: Wood smoked turkey, sourdough sausage stuffing, bourbon-glazed sweet potatoes, garlic mashed potatoes and green bean casserole. Meals also include choice of dessert: pumpkin cheesecake, chocolate cream pie, pecan pie and chocolate pecan pie. Three sizes available from 4-18 people.
