How to Burn Any PS3 Game to an HDD
- 1). Go to the SKSApps website and download the USB Advance and USB Extreme applications. Save the two applications to a folder on your computer.
- 2). Click “Start,” then select “Computer.” Go to the folder where you saved the USB Advance and USB Extreme files. Right-click the “USBAdvance” file name and select “Extract Here.” Wait a few seconds for Windows to extract the files into a new sub-folder. Extract the “Extreme” file using the same method. Delete the original USB Advance and USB Extreme files after you extract the contents.
- 3). Cut and paste the two sub-folders to the “C:\” root folder in Windows Explorer.
- 4). Open the disc tray of your computer’s optical burner drive. Insert a blank CD and close the drive tray door. Launch the CD authoring application and burn the two sub-folders onto the blank disc.
- 5). Connect the external hard drive to an open USB port if you want to burn the PS3 games to an external drive.
- 6). Insert the PS3 game disc you want to burn into the optical drive of your computer.
- 7). Click the “Start” button and type “cmd” in the search box at the bottom of the Start menu. Press the Enter key. At the command prompt, type “C:\” and press Enter.
- 8). Enter the following command at the prompt to copy the PS3 from the game disc to the selected hard drive:
“ul_install [OrignalDisc][SaveDisk][GameName][MediaType]”
Change “[OriginalDisc]” to the drive letter for your CD/DVD drive as shown in Windows Explorer. Replace “[SaveDisk]” with the drive letter for the hard drive to which you want to copy the game. Change “[GameName]” to the complete title name of the game you want to copy. Replace “[MediaType]” with “CD” or “DVD” depending upon the type of disc used for the original game.
