All you really need to know is your code, what has caused it, and finally what you need to do to repair it.
There are many products for sale that claim to give you the information you need to make console repairs.
I'm sure many of them are really great products.
I'm only aware of the particular one I used.
I was skeptical, both by the product and my ability to make the repairs.
Considering the alternative I was willing to give it a try.
The product I chose was 360 fix it.
It turned out to be a really good investment.
The product not only covered my e74 code, but several others I didn't know existed.
I began by reading through some of the information, and checking out the included pictures.
It was the videos that made me more than ready to begin the task of fixing my broken console.
I found the tools it said I would need, and without a second thought began tearing down my precious Xbox.
Long story short, only 90 minutes later I had my console back together and was hooking the cables back up.
I was anxious to see if it would really fix my trouble or not.
