Fourth of July Wedding Decorations

Aisle

• Decorate the aisle at your wedding ceremony with patriotic details. If you have a young flower girl or ring bearer, decorate a wagon with red, white and blue streamers, balloons, ribbon and American flags. Give the wagon the look of a 4th of July parade float. The little wedding party members can ride down the aisle in it while being pulled by a family member. Additionally, you can use a red or white aisle runner and can create pew bows with red, white and blue tulle.
  
  

Dinner Tables

• Top your reception dinner tables off with plain, white tablecloths and add patriotic decorations. Add tulle in red, white and blue along the edges of your tables. Use floral arrangements that feature similar patriotic colors. Pick from roses or less expensive carnations. You can also add American flags to the vases in which the flowers are arranged. Sparkling confetti in red, white and blue colors adds pizazz to any table. You can label each table with the name of a different founding father or patriotic song.
  
  

Lighting

• Light up your wedding reception location with special effects that reflect your holiday theme. Display oil lanterns on the walls, floors or tables near the entrance of your reception. Hang American flags from these lanterns. Give each of you wedding guests glow sticks to wave around on the dance floor or wear as decoration. You can also hand out sparklers for guests who are old enough. Conclude the evening with a fireworks show that lights up with night sky with brightly-colored decorations.
  
  

Guest Book

• Create a guest book that mimics the Declaration of Independence that our forefathers signed. Stain a long scroll of paper with tea bags to give it an aged feel. Write your names and wedding date at the top of the paper and have your guests sign it with a fancy calligraphy-style pen. Another guest book option is to hang an American flag on the wall near the entrance to your reception and have guests sign the flag with permanent markers. You can eventually hang or frame either of these types of guest books.
