1982 Camaro Specs
- The Camaro weighted between 2,875 and 3,169 lbs., depending upon its equipment, and had an overall length of 187.8 inches with a 101-inch wheelbase. The Camaro stood 49.8 inches high and was 6 feet wide. The 1982 Camaros were built at assembly plants in Van Nuys, California and Norwood, Ohio.
- The '82 Camaro came with five engine options, including two configurations of the base two-barrel carburetor four-cylinder, a two-barrel V6 and two big, 305-cubic-inch V8s. Buyers had a choice of a four-speed Saginaw manual transmission or a Turbo Hydra-matic automatic. The rear-wheel drive cars featured front-wheel disc brakes.
- The 1982 Camaro came in the sport coupe, the Berlinetta and the Z28. The sport coupe had either a four-cylinder or V8. The Berlinetta sported a V6 and the Z28/Z50 Indy Edition had the big V8. There were 12 exterior paint choices, of which white was the most popular, followed by silver. Light jade and dark jade were the least popular color options.
