    • 1). Hook up each Xbox 360 video-game console to a respective television set. It is preferable to have the television sets within close proximity of one another, as the distance must not extend beyond the length of the Ethernet cable.

    • 2). Take your Ethernet cable and insert it into the back of each Xbox 360 console. The Xbox 360 Ethernet port is located in the back-right end of the console, next to the HDMI and audio/visual ports.

    • 3). Turn on both consoles and television sets, insert a "Call of Duty 4" game disc into each console, and start up both games.

    • 4). Decide which console will host the game. On that console, navigate through the main menu to "System Link," and select it.

    • 5). Select "Host Game," set up your desired game criteria (i.e. points to win, game timer length, etc.), and launch the game.

    • 6). Have the other console navigate through the main menu, select "System Link," and join the game from the "System Link" network.
