Réveillon Carioca 2012, the New Year's Eve party at InterContinental Hotel in São Conrado, will have its sixth edition this year with several Brazilian DJs on two dance floors, a dinner buffet, an open bar and a full breakfast.
One of the top New Year's Eve parties in Rio, Réveillon Carioca benefits from the InterContinental infrastructure - chefs, bartenders, great views, and free circulation between the party and gorgeous São Conrado beach (a bracelet is provided).
Attractions:
The party will have two dance floors. On the Pop dance floor, the attractions are DJ Luciano Roffer, rapper MC Marcinho and samba with Sapucapeta and Santa Clara. Santa Clara, which was launched in Rio de Janeiro Carnival 2011, is fronted by Rodrigo Lampreia and Beto Landau, who are fans of Jorge Ben Jor. They play a lot of Ben Jor hits as well as songs by Tim Maia, Seu Jorge, Marisa Monte and other stars of Brazilian music in their gigs.
On the Electro dance floor, the lineup will be DJs Renato Nazareth, Rafael Nazareth, João Paulo, Naza and the Ask 2 Quit project with DJs Leo Janeiro, Marcelinho CIC and VJ Vagalume.
Food and Drinks at Réveillon Carioca 2012
The party will have two menus. The cocktail-style service (10 p.m. to midnight) will feature smoked salmon hors d'oeuvres, cheese and walnut tartelettes, foie gras mousse tartelettes, ricotta crepes, mini coxinhas, crepes, bite-size codfish croquettes, and cassava and sun-dried meat croquettes.
The buffet (served from 12:30 p.m.
to 3:30 a.m.) will consist of herb mesclun salad, Caprese salad with basil, grilled vegetables with sun-dried tomatoes, ricotta and spinach capeletti, cheese and ham rondelli, crispy chicken with mustard sauce, capeletti, Quiche Lorraine, lentil soup and other hot dishes. Desserts will include brownies, cheesecake with red berries, flan and walnut pie.
In the open bar, guests can choose from J&B Scotch Whisky, Cîroc Vodka, Smirnoff Black cocktails, Brazil-made Skol beer, energetic drinks and soft drinks.
Breakfast (served from 4 a.m. to 8 p.m.), with more than 20 items, will include scrambled eggs, sausage, chocolate bread, hash browns, banana muffins, croissants, cheese, several types of jam and jelly, fresh fruit, orange juice, pineapple juice, coffee and hot chocolate.
