How to Bring Your Game to the Next Level With Personal Training
- 1). Practice the sport that you are trying to take your game to the next level in. You won't know where you need to improve until you demonstrate your skills.
- 2). Analyze your own strengths and weaknesses when playing the sport. This will help you identify your areas of opportunity.
- 3). Speak with your coach and other players that you feel are strong in the sport in which you are trying to improve your game. Ask them for areas in which you should work to become a stronger player.
- 4). Speak with your coach and the other players to get recommendations for personal trainers that can help you improve your skills. These individuals can guide you to a trainer or a gym that has trainers to help you.
- 5). Speak with your trainer and set goals together. Explain to him how you feel you need to improve and your timeline for improving.
- 6). Spend time with your personal trainer several times a week, working on areas you need to improve in such as strength, agility or speed.
- 7). Record your performance in practice and games and share it with your personal trainer. He will be able to see how you are progressing and be able to develop a game plan for areas you need to improve further.
- 8). Continue to workout with your trainer. Ask him to attend one of your games and observe your performance live.
- 9). Speak with your personal trainer to get advice on ways to implement skills you learned during train during the game as "in-game adjustments," to try and see how they work in bringing your game to the next level.
