5 Exercises to Lose Weight Fast

One of the quickest ways to lose weight fast is to begin an exercise regime. It does not matter what age or condition you are in; exercise is the key to good health and to reducing your weight. All these exercises listed below will give you results in a week.

There are a number of ways to do this and the choice is yours. However if I had to narrow it down to five exercises they would be...

1. Walking: a brisk walk for about 5 miles will help you to lose weight and you will see a reduction within a week. It may not be more than a couple of pounds but you will have made a start. However in order to be successful you should use these tactics.

a. Keep hydrated: always remember to take water with you. This will enable you to drink whenever you want. When you keep your body hydrated you will experience less muscle cramps and be less tired. This in turn will allow you to go further and lose more weight.

b. Try to keep up a steady pace, if you can. If for physical reasons you are unable to walk at a quicker pace just take it a little slower and allow more time to complete your task. Alternatively you can break it up into 2 sessions. It is good to do as much as you can but not overstrain yourself.

c. Make it a daily routine: walking as with many passive exercises needs to be done on a daily basis to be effective.

d. Start slowly: when you start walking you will find that you may only be able to do short distances. Gradually increase your distance until you reach your goal of 5 miles. At first you will find it a little difficult but keep on going and you will then find it easy.

2. Jogging: jogging is the same as walking but you are going at a faster pace and burning more calories. This will result in a faster weight loss. The same 3 tactics mentioned above will be applied to jogging. It is particularly important to start slowly and work up to your goals with jogging so that you do not strain your system. Hydration is also even more important with jogging as you will be working up a sweat faster than walking.

3. Using a static bike: this exercise allows you to take exercise at your own pace. Again try to do this at a reasonable pace. This exercise is especially good if you have problems with one leg, as you can exercise your legs without having the strain of your weight. It will also help to keep your bad leg mobile. You will see results in a week if you do this on a daily basis. I speak from personal experience.

4. Skipping: This is for those who are in better condition. Skipping will burn calories fast but takes quite a bit of effort. Tactics to make this effective are:

5. Aerobics: this fun activity is for those who like to work in groups. This means that you will need to take out membership at a gym to begin with. Usually this is not too costly and the results will be worth it.
