- 1). Open "Settings," "System Settings" and "Format Utility" on your PS3. Select "Format Hard Disk" and "Yes."
- 2). Select "Custom" partition type, "Allot 10 GB to OtherOS," "Quick Format" and "Yes." Press "X" to restart the system when prompted.
- 3). Insert the Yellow Dog Linux (YDL) disc into your PS3. Open "Settings," "System Settings" and "Default System," press "X," select "OtherOS" and then select "Yes."
- 4). Type one of the following statements, depending on your TV type (e.g., choose 1080p if you have a 1080p television), and press "Enter."
