Many Illegal Aliens Have Gone Back to Mexico - Immigration Law Considered

It appears that many illegal aliens are having trouble getting work in the United States, this is because many industries have been just hammered in the US economy.
For instance, the construction industry has almost grinded to a complete halt.
Sure there are some infrastructure projects going on and a few commercial buildings and insurance work rebuilding homes from natural disasters but the reality is that many of the jobs that illegal aliens from Mexico came to the US to do, are now history.
When will the market return? It could be until 2011 until we see any meaningful job gains, as currently we see a spiraling effect downward with higher unemployment rates on their way.
So, this entire issue begs the question; will the US fix the illegal immigration problem so that when the economy starts to roar again we do not get flooded with illegal aliens like last time? The answer seems to be NO, because the political candidates have stopped talking about the illegal immigration problem all together, as if it were never an issue in the first place.
How soon we forget say many immigration law experts and analysts.
Just because illegal aliens are going the other way today, does not mean they will not be back as soon as America is back on top again, in fact, the next generation of illegal aliens is quite likely to come with them.
Has the United States learned its lesson this time? Again, judging by history the answer is no and without a political push from the citizens of this great nation, the US may never learn to deal with this problem.
