How To Play Magic The Gathering – The Concept
Magic: The Gathering is a popular card game since 1993. It was created by a mathematics professor, Richard Garfield. Wizards of the Coast (or Wizards) a role-playing game publishing company and Mr. Garfield made Magic even more popular by making the game a collectible card game. People will gather and buy collect cards for their deck. Some cards are cheap, while some are a bit expensive, especially if the card is rare and if the card have unique abilities or magic. So if you want to make your deck strong then you should go out and visit each store to check if they have some rare and strong cards available.
Then since 1996 Wizards sponsored a Magic: The Gathering competition where players around the globe can participate and join. The prize was around $40,000 per event. This event allowed players to travel and meet new friends.
The battle is between or more players called Planeswalker. The term Planeswalkers means powerful spell casters or magicians. The main goal of this game is to defeat other Planeswalkers or your opponents. Each player should have 60+ on their decks and al players will begin with 20 life points of lives, if the player reached 0 life point he or she is automatically out of the game, and this can only be done using the creatures you summon and the spells that you cast. All players should draw new card from his or her deck on each turn, if the player is unable to draw then he or she is automatically out of the game.
If you are a complete beginner, I suggest to you to use the intro pack or deck first because it is easy to use and it is affordable. You just need to feel the game play first, then try to master or know the rules of the game. Once you mastered everything you can move on to the next level which is changing or adding card in your deck. You can find Magic: The Gathering card on hobby stores or shops. Some are sold separately while some are sold in packs with 15 or 20 cards inside.
Making a strong deck is quite hard because most rare and strong cards are usually expensive and hard to find. Sometimes all you need in the game is tactics, just like chess, you need to find or create an effective strategy to defeat your opponents.
